Your voice matters
What should be prioritized in Portland’s 2026-27 budget?

What matters most to you? Let us know by testifying on Monday, May 18.
The City of Portland’s’s 2026-27 budget development process is underway. Mayor Wilson shared his proposed budget in April, and City Councilors’ proposed amendments to that budget will be shared later today. In recent months, the City Administration and Councilors across all districts have hosted budget town halls, as well as fielded many emails and calls about the budget—and I thank everyone who has participated in this process so far.
There’s one more opportunity for you to have your voice heard, testifying at Council next week, so I wanted to reach out directly and share the details:
- What: Public testimony on the City of Portland’s 2026-27 proposed budget
- When: Monday, May 18, 2026
- Where: City Hall, Council Chambers
- How: Sign up below and show up on Monday to let us know what you want to see prioritized in the City’s budget, whether that’s the restoration of funding for public safety, including restoring full operations of Fire Station 22, or anything else. You’re invited to express your priorities, tell your story, and let us know what’s working and not. Can’t make it to City Hall? You can submit written testimony via the link below, too.
In short, you can create impact by showing up and sharing what matters most to you.
Sincerely,
Councilor Ryan |
