The casting call for The Big Portland Bake Off lasted a total of 4 minutes. Now, those lucky enough to have secured an interview, will have to come face to face with the judges. Each contestant must present a bake of their choice, as well as answer some serious (What is your signature baking style?), not so serious (What’s your take on Paul Hollywood always poking the cake?) and logistical questions (Any allergies to bee stings? Ah, the tent!) The interviewees will have just 15 minutes to show off their personality and creativity. From 63 interviews, a mere 18 bakers will be selected to compete in the tent.
After a long day of interviewing potential contestants, the judges would like to invite the public to a sneak peak of the talent. All attendees will have a chance to see and taste the interviewees bakes submitted that day, and weigh in on their favorites by casting an anonymous ballot. Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit the tent and see firsthand what the contestants will have to work with and what the front row audience intimidation may feel like, which is to say, not for the faint of heart.
Dates: Saturday, May 30 AND Sunday, May 31
Time: 5:30PM – 7:30PM

Reservations are required and limited to 40 people.
Each $20 ticket also includes a welcome glass of sparkling wine, a cocktail or a non-alcoholic beverage. All interviewees get a free ticket!
