Portland Sunday Parkways presented by Kaiser Permanente is back for its 19th year, bringing community together and celebrating Portland’s largest public space — its streets. These free events invite people to walk, bike, roll, and play in a car-free environment.

Kick off the season in Southwest Portland on May 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explore the charming SW neighborhood along a 2-mile multimodal route for walking, biking, and rolling, as well as an additional 2.6-mile self-guided walking route highlighting SW Trails work in the neighborhood.
There will be activation areas along the route featuring live entertainment, family-friendly activities for all ages, and vendor marketplaces showcasing local vendors and community organizations. Activation areas include Gabriel Park, Village Park, Multnomah Village, Multnomah Arts Center, and Spring Garden Park.

Are you interested in sustainable transportation and building community along the way? Sign up to become a Transportation Ambassador with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT)!
As a new Ambassador, you will participate in a virtual orientation later this spring to get familiar with how our bureau works and what information you will need to interact with the public. Then we’ll ask you to volunteer for tabling events, rides, bike fairs and more! In addition to volunteer opportunities, Ambassadors also gather a few times a year for social events, like walks, interesting tours, or to get dinner.
If this sounds exciting to you, fill out a short form by Friday, April 17th and we’ll be in touch about our orientation sessions. Questions? Email ambassadors@portlandoregon.gov
