Portland City Elections is preparing for the November 3, 2026 General Election with trainings and materials to help prepare City candidates. This November, Portlanders will be voting on the City Auditor and six City Council seats in Districts 3 and 4. The first day to file for office is June 3.

If you or someone you know is thinking about running for office, now is the time to learn how to file a complete and timely application to qualify for the ballot. City Elections is hosting a Candidate Filing Webinar, the second of two Candidate Learning Sessions, on May 28 at 2 p.m. This webinar is designed to equip potential candidates with details such as what’s changed from 2024, methods to file, how to double check your qualifications, and frequent mistakes to avoid. Join us for an informative presentation with plenty of time for candidate questions and answers.
