Kernside April Meeting: Action Points

APRIL meeting Action points

Your City Councilor is here to help!
Councilor Angelita Morillo joined us for a frank and wide-ranging conversation. She didn’t sugar-coat the budgetary problems the city faces, but she was very open to discussing the ways we can make that money work harder for small businesses. She strongly encourages all members to subscribe to her monthly newsletter here and respond with your thoughts.

Neighborhood safety communication group?

One of the suggestions that came up was whether biz owners and staff in the neighborhood would want a WhatsApp or iMessage group focused specifically on public safety – specifically a place to alert one another when you have issues with violent individuals or theft, so that everyone else has a heads-up and we can respond as a group. The guys from Stammtisch have a similar group up at their other location that works pretty well apparently.

If that sounds like something you’d want to be involved with please respond to this email, and tell us what communication channels would work for you.

Please pay your dues!

Thanks to the 55 members who have already paid their dues – the rest of y’all please chip in! It’s just $10 per year and it pays for all the little things (website, email, insurance, biz registration etc.) that helps us exist and do all the cool things we have planned.
