Dear Kerns Neighborhood,
Hunger is on the rise, budgets are tight and so many in our communities are living in fear. But our movement is rising, our communities are interconnected and we won’t let fear get in the way of being there for each other.
In this moment of instability, you can help the Oregon Food Bank Network keep food on the table for families across our region. Give today and turn your compassion into a real support system for those who need it most.
Rising uncertainty and harmful, destabilizing impacts of federal policies make the hunger crisis so much worse, especially for vulnerable groups among us. Our immigrant neighbors, whose labor in many cases powers food systems in our communities, are under attack. These folks are living in fear of losing their families, jobs, support systems and so much more.
As a result, we’re seeing higher rates of requests for food assistance than during the COVID-19 pandemic. Make no mistake: Hunger is a crisis.
