Saturday, February 28 | 6-9 PM | Kellogg Middle School

The Black Affinity Group (BAG) will host a celebratory Mother/Son Legacy Dance during Black History Month that uplifts and honors Black mothers and sons through joy, connection, and community. This gathering centers the often-overlooked bond between Black mothers and sons, many from single-parent households. The event will celebrate family, culture, and the brilliance of Black history through music, dance, and shared storytelling rooted in love and pride.  To deepen the experience, the boys will participate in a pre-event workshop focused on essential life and social skills. They’ll learn dining etiquette, how to tie a tie, how to properly apply a corsage, and how to make confident introductions—skills that cultivate self-respect, leadership, and confidence.
