Hello,
On Saturday January 31, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at APANO (8188 SE Division St, Portland), Metro will be holding a community engagement event for the future memorial at Lone Fir Cemetery.
Before entering the construction phase of the project, Metro would like community members to provide input on some important aspects of the project including the memorial name, poetry and materials.
The event is free and open to all. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Interpretation in Mandarin and Cantonese will be available.
Another meeting is being planned for March to discuss public art for the memorial.
