Spotlight on Creston-Kenilworth Neighbors Community Care Effort

When a free fridge failed, neighbors rallied to save the community resource. The community brought the issue to their neighborhood association for support. The conversation at Creston-Kenilworth Neighborhood Association led towards applying for grants, raising funds, neighbors volunteering to maintain and supply the resource, and ultimately a new fridge was donated.

KGW interviewed neighbors about their efforts and vision to expand this successful community effort. What we love about this story is it demonstrates the power of what is possible when neighbors work together to find a shared solution. You can visit the community care fridge on SE 29th Ave at Gladstone in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood or visit @29thfreefridge online for information.
