COME TO OUR COMMUNITY COFFEE

Come Testify On Our Ordinance

It’s time for the City to update and improve the way it addresses crimes and properties associated with human trafficking in Portland.

After repeated calls from the community, especially those along and near 82nd Avenue, our office is bringing legislation to the Community and Public Safety Committee next week to do just that. This legislation will provide the first update to the City’s Chronic Nuisance Property code since 1997 and provide new mechanisms for establishing a Nuisance Property.

But if we are to really make a difference and get this ordinance passed, we need your support! Come testify on the impact these changes will have on the health, wellness, and livability of your community. Sign up to testify (1/27/2026) or submit written testimony here.
